Carrubo 2020
The 2020 Primitivo di Manduria Carrubo lifts from the glass with sweet lavender, dusty violets, blackberries, cloves and crushed stone. The ripe and well-balanced palate displays silken textures, brisk acidity and mineral-infused wild berry fruits. Hints of blood orange mingle with plums, cocoa and spice as this finishes with a gentle tannic grip and a slight chewiness. Its 16% alcohol is perfectly integrated but worth noting.
