Pitío 2023

The 2023 Red Blend Pitio (90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc) from Pirque, Maipo, opens with classic Cabernet tones of fine cherry and sour cherry layered with black olive and a measured oak imprint. The palate is structured yet fluid, with youthful tannins that lend grip without excess dryness and a juicy core that carries the wine with precision. Despite a warm vintage that often translates into heat and firmness, the altitude and soils of Pirque temper the expression and preserve energy and clarity. In that sense, the wine aligns well with the estate’s stylistic refinement, resulting in a balanced, well-calibrated 2023.
