San Walfredo 2022

The 2022 San Walfredo is a tiny bottling of 100% Merlot from Antinori’s Guado al Tasso property, made only in top vintages. It is, quite simply, one of the most exceptional wines I have ever tasted here. Power and finesse come together as this dizzying Merlot shows off its undeniable pedigree. A rush of blackberry jam, lavender, menthol, mocha, espresso and licorice soars across the palate, building with notable intensity over time. Magnificent. That’s all there is to it.
