Fattoria Buiano
Fattoria Buiano estate is located in the heart of the western slopes of Castellina in Chianti, in the province of Siena, at 300 meters above sea level (984 feet) in an area called Bozzagone. Set on a natural terrace, the location is both strategic and beautiful overlooking Val d’Elsa. Clear days offer fascinating views that span from the Colline Metallifere (metal bearing hills) near Larderello to the southwest, San Gimignano to the west, and the peaks of the Apuan Alps to the northwest. Fattoria Buiano is a 100-hectare estate (247 acres), of which 51 hectares (126 acres) are planted with grape vines surrounded by green forests of Turkey-oak trees. Its northern border is Fosso Buio, to the east the crest of Castellina’s hillside ridge, to the south the Montornello hill, while the Carfini river descends to the west defining the last border.
