Juan Muñoz-Oca
Estates Director & Chief Operating Officer
In Juan’s role, he oversees all Antinori-owned properties in the United States, focusing much of his attention on leading operations from grape to table at two of Napa Valley’s most celebrated wineries: Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars and Antinori Napa Valley. Known for describing himself as “stupidly obsessed with wine,” Juan is not only passionate about producing exceptional wines and enhancing the way people experience them, but also deeply committed to sustainability — ensuring future generations can continue to make wine in the same pristine environments we enjoy today.
Born and raised in Mendoza, Argentina, Juan’s connection to wine began early in life, picking grapes at age eight and working in a cellar after school. He holds dual degrees in agricultural engineering and enology/viticulture from the National University of Cuyo, and later earned a business degree from Columbia Business School. His global experience includes winemaking stints in Australia, France, and Spain, as well as work at Terrazas de los Andes, an LVMH-owned winery in Argentina.
Juan eventually moved to the U.S. to join Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, where he gained recognition for crafting some of Washington State’s most daring wines and rose to the role of Chief Winemaker. In 2023, he served as Chief Wine-Growing Officer at B Corp–certified O’Neill Vintners and Distillers before joining Vinattieri 1385, where he brings a powerful blend of global expertise, leadership, and purpose-driven innovation.
